In 2008, the Humphreys family restored Mendota Farms Cabin with hopes that others would be able to experience the magic of this location and all it has to offer. Our property is perfect for your cozy, family-friendly getaway in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. Immerse yourself in the charm of this restored 1820s log cabin.
The cabin is nestled on 500 acres of land, where you will be surrounded by scenic views of the Appalachian Mountains and Holston River.

My husband, our three kids and I visited and we are in LOVE! The property is stunning and it was the perfect family getaway for us. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the river and the stocked pond. If you are looking for a mountain getaway, stop looking and book this spot ASAP! Absolutely beautiful, our dogs loved it, and we had a great time fishing. The location is in a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place and you can travel 30 minutes to get to some food and awesome hikes! We loved grilling out and fishing on this property. The cabin was stunning and the view even better. Definitely bring a tube to float down the steam! These guys go above and beyond for their guests, we could not have been happier!

This cabin is absolutely perfect! Beautiful views of the river and mountains. It is far enough away from everything to escape, yet within 10 minutes or so of everything you could need. The access to the river is perfect for fishing or floating and the stocked pond is great for little ones. The cabin was stocked with coffee and snacks. We even had goody bags with S’mores which we made in the fire pit!! The beds are cozy and super comfortable. My whole family had such a wonderful relaxing weekend!
